#Abang (1) - It is usually man-made. It is usually built with a hoe and to channel water thru from nearby stream and rivers for the supplying of water into the wet paddy fields.
#Abang (2) - A vegetable that grows on loomy soils. Its leaf looks similar to the leaf of a young coconut seedling. Usually prepared roasted on the fire and also boiled. When cooked, you peel the leaf and collect the soft part of the plant stem. Flavourably with Kelabit salt, its shots are tasty prepared whole or pounded with other indredients such as garlic and ginger. Perhaps because it is found growing near drains, that it is called this name.
