'neteng' was a chant by the village shaman to invoke the spirits or the 'keniu' to appear at a ritual.
Some examples when the shaman would 'neteng':
- neteng ngae' me ngeraad
- neteng ngae' me ngerang
- neteng keniu inan kedta rayeh
- neteng keniu bubuh ruma'
